My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.  I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.  Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.  I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.  Never permit me to be separated from You.   AMEN.

Announcements for the Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

As we said in the Greeting, we cannot at this time, remain for private devotion after Mass and please remember not to touch or kiss the statues as you leave.  Please do not linger outside as you leave.  Unfortunately, Father is not able to be out front to greet everyone.

We are not able to have bulletins until the restrictions are lightened up.

Please remember to continue to bring your own personal hand sanitizer to use just before Holy Communion.   Remember to keep checking our website often for changes and/or updates as time goes on.

Our Thrift Shop Re-opened last Monday, June 15th.  The hours are Monday & Thursday from 10:00 - 2:00 and Tuesday & Wednesday from 9:00 - 2:00.  However, they need 2 or 3 volunteers to commit to work one day a week from 9-2 on Tuesday or Wednesday or 10-2 on Monday or Thursday.  If they are not able to recruit more volunteers, they will have to consider closing again.  Masks are required and temperatures will be taken.  The Thrift Shop is following the same protocol as the Church.

There is a table outside for those of you who would like to drop off donations.

Our Thrift Shop provides income for our church and we had to close it one day this past week because of a lack of volunteers.  Blessed Sacrament thrift Shop has been in operation and providing income for Blessed Sacrament Church ror over 40 years and it would be a shame to have to close it down.

Scrip cards continue to be available at the office during the work week.  We cannot, at this time sell them on the patio after the Masses.  Please call ahead to be sure someone is in the office.  There are always people at the office on Monday mornings who can sell Scrip to you.  You can also purchase Scrip through our Blessed Sacrament website.

As of this Monday, July 6th, we will begin our Parish Office Summer hours which are Monday through Friday from 800 am until 1:00 pm through August 31st.

If anyone would like to donate to the Retired Priests and/or Religious, we will not be taking up a collection, but you can go to our Blessed Sacrament website and click on the Online Giving Link.

If any of you know of anyone who is in need of food, please have them contact Astrid Johnson at 760-367-6144 for assistance.

Some of you may have notice that we now have a white mailbox on the wall to the right as you enter the church.  This mailbox is designed specifically for private communication or suggetions that will go directly to Father Eliseus.  Father is the only one with a key for this mailbox.  Whatever you put in this mailbox will remain strictly between you and Father Eliseus.

After the Final Blessing, we will need about 6 people to help us sanitize before the next Mass.  If you can stay to help, please let one of the ushers know as you leave.

SPECIAL PRAYER FOR OUR COUNTY

Immaculate Conception, Patroness of the United States of America, Intercede for our country.  We ask that you take us all under your mantle, and with your powerful intercession, help us "form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for a common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity." Amen.

GREETING FOR THE FOURTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME 4-5 JULY 20

Even though things look & feel different, we still want to be conscious of those trying to pray quietly before Mass and maintain a respectful silence.

We continue to not have Missals in the pews as well as pew envelopes.  We have removed everything for sanitary reasons.  You are welcome to follow on your phone ad remember to keep it on silent.  If you don't already have the Laudate App on your phone to follow along with the Mass, it is an alternative to use since we con't have Missals right now.  The link for the Laudate App is also on or website.

If any of you would like to have a Missal, we do have them in the office if you would like to stop by to pick one up.  Father Eliseus has decided that if you have picked up a Missal and would to use it at Mass, please make sure that you put your name on it and tae it back home with you.

As directed by the Bishop, our masks must be worn throughout the Mass except for receiving Communion.  Father will enter from the Sacristy and there will not be an entrance procession.  There will not be a Sign of Peace and we will not have any music.  There will also not be a Recessional Procession and Father will go right into the Sacristy at the end of Mass.  We also cannot, at this time remain for private devotions after Mass.  If you must leave the church to use the restroom during Mass, there are signs posted in the restroom for proper sanitization as you leave.  PLEASE DO NOT LET your children go to the restroom alone.  Children 16 yrs. old and younger MUST BE accompanied by an adult in order to sanitize properly as you leave.

When it is time for Communion, remember that Communion is IN THE HAND ONLY.  Please remember to use your hand sanitizer before you leave your pew for Communion.  The Ushers will come to your pew, one side at a time, to direct you to stand on the yellow strips in the center aisle in order to keep Social Distance.  You should keep your mask on until you get to Father and remove it in order to place the Sacred Host in your mouth, then replace your mask and move aside to return to your seat.

At the end of Mass, the Ushers will dismiss you pew by pew to avoid any loitering outside.  Please be patient as you wait for your pew to be dismissed.  And, of course, there will not be any Hospitality.

Please remember not to touch or kiss the statues on your way out of the Church.
